Property Description
The Pint on Punt offers comfortable, clean and safe accommodation at an affordable price. This hostel holds a great atmosphere full of fun for those wanting to meet new people.
The staff are a mixed group of friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people. Each have a diverse background and unique interests but have one very important thing in common-they also love the world of travel! They are happy to help with all enquiries and enjoy a good chat in the bar downstairs.
The Pint on Punt is perfectly located to all the happenings of St Kilda including the beach, bars, clubs, cafes, movies, gyms, Chapel Street's boutique stores, Albert Park Lake and the Grand prix circuit. The city centre and major sporting arenas are only a short tram ride away which also conveniently bypasses the beautiful botanical gardens. If you're new to Melbourne or need to get some general things organised we have a large range of banks, supermarkets as well as the local post office close by.
We offer:

We do provide a 24 hour check in service. Reception is open from 8am-12pm daily. From 12pm we operate from the bar downstairs. For check ins between 11pm and 8am please contact us so we can organise an after-hours check in.

bziq stayed here on 02nd August 2010 quite decent hostel, i enjoyed my stay there. free breakfasts and good deals on dinners are great! pretty far from the city but with excellent public transport. bathrooms would use some renovations though.... and unfortunately the internet access is quite expesive there... |

foxet_814315 from Spain stayed here on 12th July 2010 Beds need to be changed, so uncomfortable, kitchen is very small and you have to wash the dishes on the living room which is 1,5x2 and where there are people watching tv. You have to rent for 2 hours pans or pots to cook because there´s nothing on the kitchen.
Dirty rooms, and there is a sink that doesn´t get closed in the room and won´t let you sleep. At least I met some great people in my room. The receptionist girl is great and very helpfull though. | Male

More frequent cleaning of the common areas and bathrooms would be good. Most of the time looked like a party had taken place the night before, which it probably had. its a fun place though. Cheap meals and pints in the pub downstairs are a bonus. The kitchen facilities are basically non existent. If you can put up with this and a little noise, an ok place to stay. |
